[review] Yozakura Quartet: Hana no Uta

#1
I want to preface this by saying I have no idea what this show has to do with quartets or singing and I couldn't care less because of how good it is.

After sticking to more slice-of-life-y shows for a while, watching something as crazy and outlandish as this was really refreshing. There's magic, demons, gods, and a parallel dimension, and all of it is part of everyday life for the people of Sakura Newtown. It's quirky, a bit lewd, and still full of action, and there's not an arc that won't put a giant, stupid smile on your face. The only thing I didn't like was that it was only 13 episodes and an OVA, I felt like there was so much more potential character development that could've made everything so much better.

I know that feel when you change genres after a while and then get hit with a really good show. I end up trying to find something just like it though and you often can't with the good ones.
