What do you think about Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit?

#1
I remember some years ago I used a special key to get Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit Premium for free. Within four years to this day, it has only blocked two so-called "exploits," with both of them occurring from logging-in to Netflix. The software seems like a gimmick to me. What do you think?

MBAM has been around as far as I can remember and as with Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit (formerly known as ExploitShield), I like the fact It can run alongside any AV without compatibility Issues.

In terms of zero-day exploits that target vulnerabilities In web browsers, I believe It serves It's purpose well. Evidently, as with other tools of similar nature, It should not be used as a conclusive means of protection. Precautionary measures from the end user when navigating online, Is paramount.

I don't know how anti-exploitation works but it would definitely help in knowing how effective it is. AFAIK Windows Defender also has this feature doesn't it?

Of all members, I was under the assumption you'd be the best to comment on this.

You're correct with Windows Defender. The "Exploit Protection" feature Is located In the Windows Defender Security Center.

Sorry! Unfortunately I don't do much with exploitation but I will be on it soon. Perhaps it'll give me an insight into how anti-exploitation methods work. Maybe I'll look under Defender's hood afterwards.

Malware Bytes is good for cleaning threats that are already on your PC.
The others antiviruses like Avast and Security Essentials are good for active monitoring.

I understand.

Judging by your In depth posts In malware detection and analysis, I thought exploitation was also part of the equation. I started delving Into Windows Defender, but had to prematurely end It due to other priorities. I'm Interested to see how It's Exploit Protection compares to MBAE.
