Horror movie recommendations

#1
Halloween is a little over a month away, which means shitty horror movie season is right around the corner. Seeing as watching horror movies all month is a tradition, what would you guys recommend?

I have to divide my personal favorites into a few categories.
Classics: Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th series, Halloween series
Actually scary: The Exorcist, The Shining, The Conjuring, Sinister, Poltergeist, 28 Days Later
So bad it's funny: It Follows (see spoiler), The Bye Bye man, The Blair Witch Project, The Cabin in the Woods
Stoner horror/comedy: Scary Movie series, Thankskilling series, Warm Bodies, Evil Dead trilogy

Nice choices, particularly The Evil Dead.

I'll simply name 3 of my favorites (not respectively):

I totally forgot about (maybe repressed memories of) Orphan. I was 11, maybe 12 when I first saw it and it fucked me up a fair bit.

It's good to read you've seen It. Not many friends of mine have.

I couldn't believe the twist Involving Esther. And yes her revenge was certainly traumatic.

I will toss in some of my old faves.
Hellraiser(pick any in the series they're all good)
Texas Chainsaw Massacre(original)
The Omen
Night of the living dead(classic)
Shawn of the dead

My last one normally isn't considered horror but I grew up on horror and this was the only movie to every fuck with my head and that is.
The Fourth Kind
