2 - Maps in Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2
One of the most important parts of Call Of Duty is finding out what maps you do good at and what ones you do bad at. It can make the difference between an amazing and worse game. Also knowing the maps from a tactical over view can help you playing objective based gamemodes In this section I will give you a tactical overview of the map and a short description of what type of play styles to expect from the map. It will contain where it's located and what type of rushing paths to take note this may not include all maps adding DLCs so don't take this if it's written in stone.
2.1 - Aftermath
[Image: hdezwgS.png]

Aftermath is a map that you can play close quarters or semi-long range. Both sides of this map offer great close range options and lots of places to enter in all of the rooms making it hard to camp. Also running through the middle of the map can offer some medium range interactions or good ambush spots off to the side. The map is based in a ruined city environment in a Los Angeles setting.
2.2 - Cargo
[Image: u8S0XKb.png]

Cargo has a unique feature which has moving pieces in the middle of the map offering a unique combat experience. The map offers mostly long range battles besides some pockets off to the side of the maps were you could make a stand with submachine guns or shotguns. This map really favors assault rifles and snipers. The map does have lots of camping spots for people to sit in the windows of buildings off to the side. When playing Domination on this map one of the flags spawn directly in the center of the map which makes it a very challenging map. It also will spawn a bomb site in the middle when playing Overtime in demolition.
2.3 - Carrier
[Image: 5tA3Zfs.png]

Carrier like Cargo features a very long range type play style. That favors assault rifles and sniper rifles. You can play close quarters in this map if you play to the right side inside near the windows you can climb out onto the side of the boat. The map also spawns a demo and domination point near the middle of the ship making it very hard to play objectively if you don't have a good time. Theirs also a lot of sniping spots to camp in so be careful when navigating on the top deck.
2.4 - Drone
[Image: Cj5wyQ4.png]

Drone is a map that is a mix between close and far range. If you play the middle of the map in the long ally ways and near the helicopter landing pad you can get good spots for sniper rifles. If you play inside of the buildings or off to the sides you can easily run up good exp just guarding inside of the areas. This map has nice objective spawn points that aren't too challenging when playing on the map making it fairly good for rush planting. It's also a very bad map for air killstreaks so don't expect to get lots of kills with them.
2.5 - Express
[Image: Brzq61x.png]

Express is a map that favors long range mostly. Theirs only a few spots on the map that can really offer a good close range battle. Having an assault rifle equipped on this map is not a bad idea or a sniper rifle. It also has a unique feature where over certain amounts of time a train will come sweeping through the map. Make sure to not get in it's way as it will kill you. The map is decent for objective games although it does favor Headquarters or Demolition.
2.6 - Hijacked
[Image: UeQOYhO.png]

Hijacked is a map that features a very nice scenery and a lot of tactical spots. The maps main highlight is the under ground passage way that lies beneath the map. It offers a very tactical rushing point and can get you in behind the enemies fairly fast. Although be careful a lot of the times people are aiming at the spots where you exit to pick you off on your run there. It also features a unique glitch where if you spawn in Domination on C flag and jump off the back right at the start theirs a change you will spawn right in their spawn and lets you get a quick 6 man if you're fast enough.
2.7 - Meltdown
[Image: EKLLgaw.png]

This map is featured in the middle of a nuclear plant that is in the cooling compound. The map offers a very wide range of play styles that have close range, long range, and medium range. The middle run way of the map offers a good range for sniping in the buildings across from it. It offers the option to play medium range on the left and right sides of the map, and inside of the buildings you can force your self into close range combats. This map would also be good for playing hardpoint, and demolition due to good spawn points of the objectives.
2.8 - Overflow
[Image: ZYBWsPM.png]

Overflow is a map that is designed in an urban city environment. it offers many sniping spots inside of buildings and is very well suited for a snipers and assault rifles. You should watch your self when navigating on the streets as there is many ally ways, and windows in buildings that give people good vantage points over you. It is a good idea to stick to the sides. I would recommend not rushing forward but playing it tactical on this map as it might best suite you kill/death ratio wise.
2.9 - Plaza
[Image: M79ejRC.png]

Plaza is one of the maps that is only based at night. It also features a room that a lot of people call the "dubstep room". It offers a lot of height advantages but favors close ranged combat. SMGs are highly effective on this map and can help dominate. It is very good for objective based maps and not many of the objective points for any gamemodes spawn in spots too hard unlike on Cargo. This map will favor assault rifles and SMGs.
2.10 - Raid
[Image: 3CsewCH.png]

Raid offers a very unique play style as well when it comes to objective based games. When playing outside of the map you are often challenged by a giant circle statue that blocks most view points across the map making you have to run up and get close to take out people in the rocky area around it. It also offers a very good chance for long range guns as most of the maps movement spots are long - medium range sub machine guns may find a hard time on this map trying to go head to head against people with medium to long range guns.
2.11 - Slums
[Image: QW1EP66.png]

Slums is a map that is very well treated to close range combat but does offer long range spots. The sides of the map can be used for someone that likes to stick with long range, but running the middle of the map is better suited for someone with sub machine guns. The giant fountain in the middle of the map in which you can climb on top of should be used for an advantage but don't get too cocky or else you will be spotted easily on top of it. The map is very good for snipers on the sides and will favor them mostly in side combat situations. A lot of obstacles in this map also offer good spots to take cover or duck behind.
2.12 - Standoff
[Image: TsJ17GO.png]

If you don't like a map with lots of camping spots and good areas to lay in wait for people don't play stand off. This map has loads of areas where you can hide up in windows aim down stairs, and also preaim over objects. It focuses on very close quarter combat with a few areas for sniping. The map has lots of points where you can be snuck up on forcing you most often have to move. The map does however have lots of points where as long as your team keeps a lock on one side of the map you can hold down lots of camping spots creating a wall that no one can pass.
2.13 - Turbine
[Image: NMvZazq.png]

This map features a desert terrain much comparable to Afghan from MW2. This may be one of the only very long range maps that favor lots of sniping and assault rifle gameplay. The turbine offers an excellent vantage point over the map but be careful as many of the sides are vulnerable when ontop of it. The map offers some unique rushing spots for players to really do some heavy damage to the enemy team if people aren't paying attention. Tread lightly when running around this map as their will more than likely be many snipers in place.
2.14 - Yemen
[Image: KhVT826.png]

Yemen is almost similar to Standoff. The map features lots of close range combat so be prepared to most likely not have a good game if you try to long range with machine guns. Although their is long range camping spots you most likely will get dominated by someone running and gunning with an SMG. It offers many countering spots so you're not safe really anywhere. So it forces you to always be moving making this map an excellent choice when trying to bang out fast scorestreaks rapidly.
2.15 - Nuketown 2025
[Image: PLZmFqD.png]

Nuketown 2025 is a very well known map featured in black ops 1. It is now a bonus players got for pre-ordering or purchasing from the store a few days after the original release. This also comes with its own custom gamemode called Chaos Moshpit. Nuketown offers a very good map for rushing and close range combat. Or long range combat with snipers. It makes an excellent map for getting feeds with snipers, or going on beast kill streaks with submachine guns. The map is a very well known map and is a public favorite.

3 - High EXP Gamemodes in Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2
3.1 - Hardpoint
[Image: D7kU3bd.png]
Hardpoint in call of duty black ops 2 is a gamemode that is very similar to Drop Zone in MW3. A spot on the map becomes marked with a zone, and the players must try to become the only ones inside of that zone to earn points. It's almost like king of the hill if you want to think of that way. Every time you walk into the hard-point and take it from the enemy teams control (by either killing all hostiles in the objective, or taking it after an enemy cap) you get about 200 score per capture. This also translates into good exp and sense it instantly caps the HQ when you go into it, it's very easy to farm EXP. The goal to making good EXP in hard point is simple rush, rush and more rushing. For this you want to have a good SMG class load out maybe like the PDW or the MSMC. It wouldn't hurt to throw on some EMP grenades either.
One technique that I use to farm EXP on hardpoint is simple walk into the objective and get the capture points. Run out of the objective as soon as you get the cap use this as bait for the enemy right when the enemy caps it back you can shoot them and take it back again for even more score. Some games this doesn't work well and others it works like a charm and makes you really good exp. It's also a gamemode that does not require a lot of team work and can be solo'd which helps a lot for some people, and don't forget always rush and never hang back theirs no exp in doing that getting kills is not where the exp is in hardpoint it's the objective and kills mixed together. (Note: You also get a nice 125 score per kill for killing people inside of the objective rather than the regular 100.)
3.2 - Demolition
[Image: ui73kqp.png]
Demolition in call of duty black ops 2 is renown for it's ability to hold spawn traps and other killing techniques so it's not surprising it ranks on one of the best games for exp. Demolition is a gamemode where you spawn with two bombs on the map (A,B) and there is a team that has to defend the bombs and a team that must attack the bombs (has to plant explosives on the stations). As you would suspect the goal of the game is for the defenders to hold of the bombs for as long as possible until the timer runs out. If a bomb is blown up it will add more time onto the timer giving the attacking team even more time to try to blow up the other bomb. The thing that makes Demolition so good for exp is the fact that the spawn points are fixed for the defending team meaning they won't spawn anywhere else no matter how close you go to their spawn. So as long as you get a decent team together it should be easy to hold off a very effective spawn trap.
Now some thing the exp is in the kills but it's not just the kills for black ops 2. It's also the double kills, and triple kills and bloodthristys etc. These add up fast to becoming what the bulk of your exp is so go for lots of kill feeds, and kill streaks as it will pay of highly in the end. It's also possible to be able to do a nice little solo spawn trap if you hang back more outside their spawn by your self and just pick them off as they come.
3.3 - Search and Destroy
[Image: ui73kqp.png]
Search and Destroy is another bomb site based gamemode in Call of duty. The gamemode is generally the same idea as Demolition but you only get one life per round and if your whole team dies you lose no matter what happens to the bomb if you're defending. If the attacking team managers to get a plant in before you kill them all and don't defuse the bomb you can still lose. There is in total 4 rounds for each team so thats a maximum of 8 rounds. The first team to reach 4 wins is declared the winner. Now you must be thinking only 8 rounds and if it's 6v6 that's not a lot of room for making any exp. Thats where Search and Destroy becomes a good option because you get 500 xp per kill. Now this does sound good and it is if you can manage to pull off a decent amount of kills. Now the reason why I have this listed as maybe is because their is not a lot of exp to be made unless you rush plant bombs other than getting kills. So if you're bad at getting kills or don't like long games i'd advise you to avoid this gamemode.
3.4 - Headquarters
[Image: JpjBwBC.png]
Headquarters is a gamemode that has an objective point that has a set spawn when the game first starts for the first spawn. Players must try to get to the headquarters and capture it the headquarters does have a capture time but the more friendlys that are in it the faster you capture it. Once your team captures the HQ you get 200 exp for just being in the HQ and getting the capture. After that if you die you must wait for the headquarters to be destroyed. That means the enemy team must run in and take the HQ back by capturing it again. Once this is done the HQ will vanish and will spawn in a random spot from it's list of choices. A good thing about headquarters that I don't think a lot of people take advantage of that brings in a lot of exp when done right is capture kills. When you're capping the HQ and you kill someone while capturing it you can get capture kills which reward you with double the exp per kill than you normally would get. This means that if you can farm the HQ capture zone for kills and than get a cap theirs high potential for earning your score streaks really fast. If you get 4 kills thats 800 score plus the capture score that's another 200. That's almost a 1000 score streak from just 1 capture and 4 kills. This can pay off big time if you manage to do it right.

4 - Score streak combo.

4.1 - UAV > ORBITAL VSAT > SWARM
[Image: zwelQgD.png]
This score streak is a good set up to use because it's the best way to bang out these score streaks fast and beneficently. If you think of it logically once you get enough to earn a UAV it will most likely help you and your team hold down objective points and defend better which translates into good capture score, and assist points for you. The UAV will stay active for 30 seconds so make good use of it. It also will help you get assist points to unlock the Orbital Vsat. Once hitting the orbital vsat this is when you should start playing more safe but aggressive at the same time because a swarm is a very close possibility now. You should run sides of the maps and use it to pick people off never rambo rush in thinking you're going to be able to bang out a whole time from the front because it won't happen unless you got luck and you don't want to depend on luck. Once getting the swarm it can help you greatly going for long kill streaks because when they're distracted it can make for a very good chance to go up high into killstreaks.

4.2 - UAV > Hunter Killer > Counter-UAV
[Image: 619bocU.png]
Although this score streak does not look the best it is very good for your team and you with assist points. This will help any team win a game and I think at least one person should be at least running this score streak set up in your group. The UAV will help you easily get your hunter killer which is most of the time a guaranteed kill and also leading you close to the Counter-UAV. It is possible to be able to get all 3 of these scorestreaks out at once which can be deadly on the enemy team. An advantage to running this set up is being able to get this score streak multiple times in one life meaning you don't have to worry about spacing things out or getting nervous when going for them because they're all pretty low scorestreaks. It will help regardless get the game winning match exp for pulling a victory and help your team mates that are running more higher scorestreaks.

4.3 - Orbital Vsat > Attack Dogs > Swarm
[Image: yMoUCqV.png]
This scorestreak for obvious reasons is one of the best ones to get but also one of the hardest. To get this scorestreak i'd recommend playing hard point or demolition with a good team. Hardpoint is the easiest because of being able to do the technique in this guide by farming the hardpoint for score. Once you get your orbital vsat attack dogs are still pretty decently far away meaning don't feel safe yet i've died many times only getting Orbital Vsat and it's a pretty big let down. Once you get your dogs it's pretty much a wash getting your Swarm sense it's only another 2 kills or capture away. Once getting these two scorestreaks called out at once it's just pure mayhem for the enemy team, but be extremely careful swarms can kill you when you have them called out making them very dangerous to play when out in the open. Other than that this is one of the best scorestreak setups to get out but not good for non experienced players or someone who wants to help the team with fast scorestreaks like in 4.2.

5 - Scorestreak information.

5.1 - UAV
[Image: 3nMD3jt.png]
The UAV in call of duty black ops 2 is a scorestreak that when called in it makes anyone that is not using the perk ghost appaer on the minimap as red circles [

[To see links please register here]

]. The UAV stays up for 30 seconds. This scorestreak can be shut down with rocket launches which should be taken into account before using it. The UAV is a very helpful scorestreak to use considering it only requires a 450 point scorestreak to achieve, and can really enhance your gameplay and help your team out. I would recommend putting this on any class you plan on running high scorestreaks with or pair it up with the Orbital Vsat to try to get that. It can save you a lot sense you need to be level 55 to unlock ghost most people don't have it.

5.2 - RC-XD
[Image: 66t6t5a.png]
The RC-XD scorestreak is a remote control car that has C4 on top of it. The RC-XD is a relatively low scorestreak and can be used to get your self a fast kill. The RC-XD in my honest opinion is a pretty useless scorestreak it only gets you 1 kill and you have to control it leaving you vulnerable on the ground for the amount of time you're using it making it not a good choice if you plan on just banging out scorestreaks non stop. I highly recommend that you only use this scorestreak if you think you'll have a good spot to be able to hide while using it and not that worried about having to call it out.

5.3 - Hunter Killer
[Image: CuuoYJQ.png]
The Hunter Killer scorestreak is a automatically controlled hand-deployed aircraft. You can throw it out into the sky and it will circle around the map and kill people but be careful because it also will lock onto UAV's and Counter-UAVs meaning it will not always target other players. The scorestreak is a good scorestreak for pretty much a guranteed kill and sense it's automated it takes no effort to really deploy it. I would recommend this for games like Search and Destroy and domination or demo as it can be used to clear out objective points and also is fairly low scorestreak requirements allowing you to get it fairly easy.

This is amazing. I thought my Lucid Dreaming tutorial was in-depth...

@MxRE, yes. He made this himself xD Trust me, the first thing I did was google random parts of the guide. (nothing personal, just a habit!)

The only thing you'd find from this guide on the internet would have to be the pictures which I took from a website but I had to render out each map thing that's what made this the worse to do.

Just happy that forum junkies merging with that other site kept everything.

Just finished up the scorestreak part of the guide.

Might make descriptions for every scorestreak in the game would take abit though.

Wow this is great, you should include some of the overused guns such as the MSMC, MP7 and PDW since they all are ridiculously overpowered.

I was thinking about adding weapons, and perks but it'd be a big challenge so i'll most likely do it later.
